Hand block printed designs

One thing has always been clear in our vision: to ground our work in the appreciation of traditional practices and craftsmanship.
Block printing on textiles was used widely throughout East Asia and originated in China about 4,500 years ago. It turned into a culturally distinct art form by Indian artisans since at least the 12th century.
Block printing involves carving the desired pattern in reverse on a piece of wood; the block is then inked and pressed onto the fabric following the design and colors requirement.
We have created our own blocks and we are incredibly proud of the designs our Creative Director has realised for this collection. Handcrafted and hand-block printed by Indian artisans.
